MY WORK
My work is usually a response to something visual or tactile that catches my eye. It is about close up investigation, abstraction, colour and textural qualities.
My interpretation is created by fragmenting, assembling and collaging. I like to be experimental and inventive in the mixing and use of a wide range of media.
I hope to communicate to the viewer something of what inspired me through the image I produce.
TREE
The information for this painted plaster cast came from personal close up photographs of tree trunks and bark. I looked at elements of pattern and textural markings and used the ideas to create textural panels in clay for the casts.
